Initiated in 2006, the Tacoma Children’s Musical Theater at TMP is fast becoming a favorite option for family entertainment in the South Sound. These fully-produced musicals bring to the stage the most beloved stories of classic children’s literature…and feature many of your favorite TMP mainstage performers.
Single tickets for matinee performances of TCMT productions are available for purchase online, by phone or in person without a service charge for the following rates:

Adult: $15
Senior/Student/Military: $13
Child (12 & under): $10

Unless otherwise indicated, performance times for Tacoma Children's Musical Theater productions are Saturdays & Sundays at 2pm. As all TMP/TCMT performances are reserved seating, advanced purchase is strongly recommended.

It is a dark and stormy night…and Chester (the Monroe family cat) and Harold (the family dog) sit waiting for their owners to return home from the movies. When the Monroes finally do arrive home, they come bearing a surprise: they’ve found a bunny in the movie theater. But when the family’s produce starts losing it’s juice, Chester thinks he knows what’s causing the fantastic phenomenon…this bunny is a vampire! Singing and dancing their way through this hilarious mystery, the furry friends find room in their hearts, and in their home, for one very unique bunny. Originally premiered at the Seattle Children’s Theater, Bunnicula is a clever stage rendering of the classic first installment of James Howe’s much-beloved series.

Norton Juster’s beloved children’s book is given the full musical treatment in this acclaimed stage version of the modern tale of a boy (Milo) who must save the princesses “Rhyme” and “Reason,” and reunite the brother Kings who rule over the cities of “Dictionopolis” and “Digitopolis.” Aided by a trusty time-keeping dog, Milo successfully brings harmony to the Land of Wisdom and learns many things about words and numbers along his journey. With a script adapted by Mr. Juster himself, witty lyrics by Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me) and a melodious score by Arnold Black, The Phantom Tollbooth is an endearing show that appeals to audiences of all ages.
