Text Box: Tacoma Musical Playhouse 2008-2009 Season Subscriptions NOW Available!     August 2008 Dear Valued TMP Patron!   We’ve done it!  We have made it to our 15th season and it’s going to be spectacular!  Thanks to you, our valued patrons, we continue to grow into one of the leading regional musical theater companies in the Northwest!    Our 15th Anniversary Season is packed full with both regional premieres and new revivals of old favorites.  A TMP season subscription entitles you to the earliest opportunity to secure your show tickets and you definitely won’t want to miss a single show!  One of the hottest tickets from Broadway’s 2008 season is the revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific.  There’s no need to travel all the way to New York to see this show as we are opening our season with this beloved classic!  Our holiday production this year will be a new treat for young and old alike.  Written by the Sherman Brothers who brought us such favorites like Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang and Mary Poppins comes the musical The Slipper and The Rose, a new telling of the classic fairytale, Cinderella.  TMP brings you one of the first U.S. stagings of this beautiful tune-filled musical out of Great Britain.  Our third show, Glorious!, is a brand new play with music about a well-to-do New York socialite, who thinks she has the most glorious operatic voice.  Unfortunately, she can barely sing on key. This leads to a hilarious evening romp of comedy delight.  Next… get ready for a hot spring season when we bring Footloose to our stage!  Based on the hit movie, this show promises to be a rousing evening of dancing and music.  Hold onto your hat!...because next comes the hysterical Mel Brooks musical, The Producers - the winningest show in Broadway history! TMP is one of the first community theaters in the country to be granted the rights to produce this sure-fire hit.  And finally, our Summer Blockbuster will be the family-favorite, The Wizard of Oz.  The stage version includes all of your favorite songs from the MGM classic film and a few more!   A 2008-2009 TMP season subscription - Season Ticket or Flex Pass - includes a ticket to each of the six mainstage productions, and also entitles you to several other benefits such as:  Preferred Seating, first priority for trips & tours, reduced ticket prices to some non-subscription shows, and more! Without a doubt, a TMP subscription is the Best Entertainment Value in South Puget Sound!    Season Ticket holders have two price options for subscription packages:  Regular Season Tickets for the 2nd, 3rd or 4th week of the run of the show, or our best-priced packages - The ‘Scene Stealer’ Series - which can be purchased for all Opening Weekend and Saturday Matinee Series Packages.  Season Ticket holders select a series of dates at the time of purchase and are guaranteed specific seats for those dates for the entire season.  Season Tickets are mailed in September.   A Flex Pass combines the savings of a season subscription and the flexibility of single ticket purchases.  Flex Pass subscribers are given the option of reserving their seats and dates in a series at the time of purchase, or can wait to select show dates when it is more convenient.  Either way, Flex Pass holders are afforded unlimited, complimentary ticket exchanges with 24 hours notice.  Flex Pass tickets are held at Will-Call to be picked up the night of the show.   Families of 3 to 5 people seeking the best bargain can purchase a Family Flex Pass.  Family Flex Passes are available for 2 adults and up to 3 children or grandchildren, immediate family only, age 18 and younger.  Family Flex Pass holders may either select a series at the time of purchase or call when ready to reserve show dates.   Groups are strongly encouraged to submit individual name & address information for each household so that TMP has a record and address for each subscriber.  This makes it so much less complicated to facilitate any individual exchanges, and helps to eliminate unwarranted service charges during the course of the season.  There is no additional fee to have group subscriptions booked under separate names.   We expect a record-breaking increase in season subscriptions next year!  Won’t you help us to reach this milestone by inviting a friend or relative to subscribe to TMP?  They, too, can enjoy a whole season of great musicals at Tacoma Musical Playhouse!   Sincerely, Jon Douglas Rake Managing Artistic Director     Print out the Season Ticket Order Form and return with payment to the TMP Box Office   Seating Chart & Ticket Policy
