Field Trips

TMP Family Theater offers special mid-week matinee performances for school groups to attend a live musical theater production.  These tickets are NOT available to the general public.  Parental volunteers that want to attend a program with their children MUST purchase tickets in advance through the school.

TMP Family Theater Matinee programs will entertain, educate and inspire young audiences.  The experience of enjoying a live stage production performed by adult and child actors is one that no child will soon forget.

Our specially priced student matinees are designed to accommodate any size student group. All student matinee tickets are $10.

Brooke and Zeke are excited to star in their school’s next hit musical, The Phantom – until they hear a rumor that the show is cursed. Mysterious events start happening at the theater, and no one can be sure if it’s just coincidence or the work of…The Phantom! This silly and (only a little) spooky musical is based on the beloved series from R. L. Stine.

It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed. : Her best friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best friends anymore. So, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Junie finds she has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Troubles mount with a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal”. First grade has never been more challenging. A genuinely comical musical that follows the misadventures of that brassy little diva, Junie B. Jones, and her introduction to first grade, this is a very special one hour Theatre for Young Audiences piece that kids (and adult kids) of all ages can enjoy.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
