POST-CUBA TOUR PRESENTATION

Our recent theater tour to Cuba was a magnificent cultural experience. All 20 patrons are raving about it. We invite you to a free, Post-Cuba Tour presentation on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at 7pm where we will discuss our adventures, show some photos and videos and share with you how wonderful our experience was. We will also make a pitch for why we want to return in the future and that may be of interest to you after seeing the presentation.


SING-ALONG WITH SANTA
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. That means it’s time for TMP’s annual Sing-Along with Santa. This event will include a sing-along of favorite holiday carols as well as a special story told by St. Nick himself! After the sing-along, children will be able to meet Santa and tell him their holiday wishes. Make sure you bring a camera to preserve these holiday memories.

THE BIG BAND CHRISTMAS
Celebrate the holiday season Big Band style with one of TMP’s much-anticipated annual traditions. The Swing Reunion Orchestra, founded and under the direction of Don Miller, offers a swinging performance of holiday music. This 18-piece big band can play! You’ll hear traditional standards and wonderful Christmas music from Ella Fitzgerald, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Chick Webb, Count Basie, Les Brown, and all the other stars of swing music. SRO includes vocalist Melanie Vail, and Master of Ceremony Paige Hansen. Come celebrate with TMP during “the most wonderful time of the year.”

CampTMP’s Honor Program presents the Emmy award-winning 1965 CBS special, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Tis the season to celebrate everyone’s favorite Peanuts pals as they dig past the commercialized gimmicks of presents and decorations to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. Through a pageant and a spindly tree, Charlie Brown and friends bring the holiday spirit back to life for families once again! And for Charlie Brown, it was truly the merriest Christmas ever.

BROADWAY BRUNCH FUNDRAISER
Join us for our Annual Spring Fundraising Auction & Brunch. Enjoy this fun Sunday event featuring Mimosa’s, Bloody Mary’s and a fabulous bountiful brunch! Some of your favorite TMP actors will perform Broadway songs. We will have a silent auction baskets and gift certificates along with wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experiences in our live auction. A special speaker will share the positive impact TMP’s educational programs have had on their life. Broadway Trivia, Dessert Dash and much, much more for your Sunday afternoon! Event proceeds benefit TMP’s extensive, year-round educational programs for all ages.

Tacoma Musical Playhouse’s Educational Department is proud to present a program designed for our senior community. The Young At Heart Players provides an exciting opportunity for seniors through a performance-based workshop that rehearses three days a week and culminates in a full staged musical production for everyone to enjoy.

About South Pacific: Nellie, a nurse on a Pacific Island during WWII, falls in love with de Becque, a local planter. However, when she learns he is a widower with two half-caste children, she cannot accept the situation. Meanwhile, Cable falls in love with a Polynesian girl named Liat. Cable and de Bacque go off together on a spy mission and the two women wait in hope of their return.
